Hello- We were brainstorming a couple ideas to generate additional revenue over the winter months here in Chicago when the roofers go into hibernation. We have always thought about distributing salt to our contractor base and other Chicagoland area contractors that plow in the winter. I was hoping to gain insight from some members that currently distribute salt during the winter months as far as vendors, types of packaging (bagged, bulk, bag size), pricing competition from the Home Depots and Lowes of the world, distribution methods, etc. I can be reached at our office at (773) 237-9740 or via posting a response to the forum.
